I'm having some issues around care for my 9 month old at the moment.
I run my own business from home. Stupidly, I thought I'd be able to run my business and work at home AND look after baby as well. I am having enourmous trouble with this, and as luck would have it have an intense little man too.
Our initial plan was to have a nanny a day a week to allow me to get some work done during work hours. This hasn't turned out as planned. We've trialed a few who have gotten frustrated with looking after DS because he wouldn't settle, don't agree with our parenting style or got offered other work. I thought a nanny would be the best thing because I am in the office (it's slightly removed from the house) and would be able to breastfeed still and I just thought he was too young for daycare.
Now, I'm frustrated at the amount of time that's required to interview, trial and show each person how we do things. It sounds trivial, but it's time consuming.
So now I'm considering family day care or day care in SE Melbourne. Does anyone know of any that are aligned with gentle parenting practices specifically? Or even recommend a nanny who's available at the moment for a day a week who's aligned with gentle parenting practices?
