The last 24 hours I have been feeling a huge amount of down pressure. I've had no contractions what so ever, but the baby's head is really far down in my pelvis. Almost to the point where it's painful to walk, just simply because the baby's so far down.
He was pushing down so hard, I just thought there was no way my waters could survive it, but they did.
The baby's just as active as he always has been - which isn't great for me physically, but is great he's still happy to kick!
Has anyone else experienced this for an extended period of time? I'm just about tearing my hair out as I just can't function very well and it's quite painful.
It actually kept me up all night last night, so I am very tired as well. Should I be bothering the midwifes with it? I wasn't really going to bother them until I was in active labour because I just don't think there's much they can do about it. I can just envisage them nodding their heads knowingly and moving on.
Hopefully it is a good sign. Personally I wouldn't bother mentioning it to the midwives (for the same reasons as you said, but it hopefully means that bubs is ready to move along.
Evie I would have a chat to the midwives, simply for reassurance. I know a lady who never felt any of her contractions, the only way she knew she was in labour was from the pressure sensation.
Good luck, I'm sure you won't be waiting much longer !!
