Agree as above mentioned, there are products we can use that have less chemicals in them...but that's a matter of choice for anytime really. If there was a problem with those products being used whilst pregnant then we would all know about it.
Though you may want to change some products you use in regards to the changes that will happen to you whilst pg....for example my skin might break out or get very dry, hair can sometimes become dry also etc. You might want to use products that my help these things. If that makes sense.

    Hi oMO,
I too have been researching what is safe to use whilst pregnant. some suggestions for you: Belliskincare.com.au has all safe products - it's a bit pricey but has good reviews and by all accounts lasts a long time. They do not have a facial moisteriser though.

I use Gaia baby lotion on my 4 year old daughter and it is also safe for pregnancy and makes a good body, foot and hand cream. It has no parabens in it.

also look at Vitalenatural website - it is an online store and you can email the naturopath and she will recommend safe products for your skin type. Also Burts Bees has a Mum and Bub line and are all natural.

I agree with some of the other posts regarding using what you have been using. I am TTC but cannot remember going to these lengths last time I was pregnant. Last time I didn't even know what parabens were, I just steered clear of retinol and Vitamin A products & Beta Hydroxy acids. I guess because I am over 35 now I am being a bit overly cautious about everything and it is driving me crazy because I am checking every ingredient in every product I buy

I hope some of these suggestions are of assistance to you

    Hi oMo,

this is a late reply but it may be helpful. It's a really good idea to switch to all natural products whilst pregnant, I use them all the time too. Unfortunately in Australia there are no regulations on beauty products so most commercial products contain parabens, phthalates and petrochemicals which are all harmful and many of these products are known to be cancer-causing. If you can't eat it, you shouldn't put it on your skin, as your skin absorbs around 60% of everything you put on it. It is particularly important if you are pregnant with a boy as phthalates are known to cause reproductive problems in boys.

Products that I am currently using for skincare and cosmetics are miessence, myutopia, suvana, burt's bees and inika, they are all fabulous and are reasonably priced.
For haircare I use avado, but there are other great ones out there.

Really great priced Australian natural skincare/ haircare is Sukin, you can get it at pharmacies and health food shops.

A great website to give you an idea of some brands is Natural Skin Care

    I hope that helps.
