yes I would say she is... You will find that she will call/cry out while on heat... but the problem you have with female cats is that if they dont mate she will come on heat again very soon after and continue to do so... drove us nuts with our cat had to get her desexed in the end as we couldnt cope with it at all... took her in 3 days after heat had finished but the next one had already started again so cost us more...

If you think they are do not let them outside! Are there any toms hanging around yelling too?

Our kitten got on heat and pregnant very early, we should have got her desexes straight away because she was too young for babies and it wasn't fair for her.
Then, after she had her babies we let her out to go to the toilet and stretch her legs - whammo preg again....

Thanks girls, no they are inside cats, not going outside untill they were desexed, which we were doing next wk Oh well next mth.

May i ask, how long will she meow and cry for, we are going on 3-4 now

Oh a cat in heat!! What an awful noise that is, I've never had one as all my cats are desexed but I remember a friend had one on heat and o.m.g!

Best thing is to get them desexed soon as you can. Last thing you want is kittens running around if you're not wanting them.

Are they purebreds? The breeder should have desexed them before selling them. This is why it's important not to support backyard breeders, and why so many animals end up in shelters.

I can't be sure how long she'll cry for sweetie, best to ring a vet to get their opinion on when you can desex. Lots of luck, I'd invest in some good earplugs, and definately don't let her outside.
