Croup...info please??

Does anyone know how long this is contagious for???
DD is on redipred and we are doing showers in the steam 3 -4 times a day...she seems to just have a cold now though...
I really have no idea about croup how to manage it or if it changes to a cold etc...
Is there anything else i can be doing to help her. Shes not eating or drinking, things probably taste Yuk...i've been giving hydralyte 5ml every 5 min...like the trial of fluids in hospital. She keeps chucking it all up during her coughing spasms though.

Charlotte had croup not long ago - scary stuff isnt it!
I was told that it will pass in a few days, Charlottes lasted all up about a week.

If she is coughing and then vomitting I would make sure she actually has croup and not whooping cough, as the spewing shouldnt be happening so often if it is just croup (according to my doctor)

Anyway, lots of fluids and euclyptus and lavender rubs helped here, also raise the cot mattress up at one end so they arent lying flat when trying to sleep.
