I'm new to this forum and have come specifically to ask for your advice as I can't seem to find an answer anywhere else.
I have heaps of gorgeous handknitted baby wear - beanies, bonnets, mittens, booties and little cardigans etc - that I want to store and put away for when my sisters have their children. Does anyone have any tips no the best way to store woollens so they don't age/attract moths etc? At the moment they are in a sealed plastic crate. Someone has suggested I wrap them in acid-free tissue paper.....?
I have some gorgeous knitted stuff aswell and my nan told me to wrap them in tissue paper and keep them in one of those vac bags or even one of the large airtight bags, i think she uses cardboard on either side of them so as not to scrunch up too much.
Not 100% sure but googled for you and here are some ideas about woolens:

plastic bins or into sealable plastic garment bags. Hefty makes large sealable bags & they'd be great for sweater storage. Also, they make under the bed storage bins that would be great for sweater storage.

yeah, the little bugs that make the holes will eat anything fabric.... i put mine in those giant zip-lock bags (with a fabric softner sheet so they will smell good) and keep them in the top of the closet
my mom, all of my life she has done this, and never had any trouble, she gets a little block, about the size of a brick, of cedar wood and keeps it in her closet

The cedar blocks or chips work for me. I put them in mesh bags (you can cut up pantyhose and put them in there) and stick a bag in between the layers. I store the whole pile in plastic bins.
Moths will eat lots of different kinds of clothes - not just wool.
I wrapped mine in tissue paper & put into zip-lock bags (You can get some pretty big ones)
They are all in a roller-storer and labelled on the front who made them & what size
great ideas thanks. i'm off to get zip lock bags and tissue paper tomorrow. thanks guys. i like the idea of labelling as well - this stuff has been made by my 85yo step-mum - she might not be able to knit in a few years so they will make lovely momentos.
