chicken bolognese!
it is amazing i dont use traditional mince anymore for it.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 small carrot, grated
2 sticks celery, finely sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
500g chicken mince
410g can tomato pur?e or tomato pasta sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 cup flat leaf parsley, roughly chopped
500g dried spaghetti
Step 1 Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic and cook, stirring often, for 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add chicken mince and cook, stirring, for 8-10 minutes or until browned.
Step 2 Add tomato pur?e, basil, thyme and half the parsley. Stir until well combined and mixture comes to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3 Cook pasta in a large pan of boiling water according to packet directions. Serve pasta topped with bolognese and remaining parsley.
amazing thing about this recipe its super low fat, high iron and high fibre and yummy!
Egg, breadcrumbs, wostershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Plum Sauce. Sometimes I put Sweet Chilli or tomato sauce, just depends on what I ahve in the fridge.
Might be coming in a bit late on this:
I make yummy rissoles - sweet chilli sauce, fresh ginger, grated zuchini, corn, grated carrot, chicken stock cube, soy sauce and breadcrumbs.
Yummy! I love them the next day on a toasted sandwich.
Thanks for the replies, i have never brought chicken mince before so I just made the rissoles and loved them so I will be buying more chick mince and trying out all these other ideas.
