I am on my 26th week of pregnancy and i'm having a dilemma. When i was 2 or 3 months pregnant, my left eye got really irritated so i ended up using visine for 2 to 3 days i think. When i get headaches, i use a topical solution with methyl salicylate since i dont want to take anything orally. And just this past few days, ive been having really bad tooth ache, and my schedule to the dentist is not until tomorrow. To relieve the pain i use again a topical solution with methyl salicylate. Then i came across these various threads saying that both Visine and methyl salicylate may have an effect to my unborn baby... I'm so worried that i did something harmful to the baby. I wasn't really thinking before that it will have a negative effect since they were not taken orally, but now im really scared. I read that the visine may cause physical defects on the baby and also the methyl salicylate. Please advice.
