    Temping after D&C

    Hi All,

Just wondering what everyone's experiences have been of temping following a D&C.

I had a D&C last week (miscarried in april, all went back to normal, had strange spotting, found an endometrial polyp, had it removed and a D&C at the same time to make sure there was nothing remaining from the m/c).

I should have ovulated the week before that but didn't - which is extremely strange for me - although I did have my appendix out so think my body was just too busy to release an egg - but then according to my temps, I ovulated the day I had the d&c cause my temps went straight up the day after.

I was just wondering if the temp rise is a normal thing post D&C, or if I really did O that same day?

    anyone had any experience?

    Thanks

    Hi,
I had a D&C earlier in the year to remove a polyp and had just ovulated 4 days before. I was charting so I noticed the day after my D&C my temps jumped right up quite high all of a sudden. I also had a D&C for a missed miscarriage a few weeks ago and felt like I had a raised temperature for a few days following so I presume it is an affect of the operation. That said, you could have also ovulated as I know sometimes stress/illness can delay or bring it on.
    Best of luck to you!

    Hi Colorbrown,

thanks for the reply and I'm so sorry that you lost your bubba. It's one of the hardest things i've ever gone through I think. Hope you've got lots of support around you. sending you a big hug.

It is all a bit confusing isn't it?? I got AF exactly 2weeks after the day of the d&c which may have been my normal luteal phase (normally 14 days) had i ovulated on that same day.

Either way, i'm stoked that AF came just as i thought she should, and so soon after the d&c, which now means that i'm a little over a week away from finally being able to ttc again.

Wishing you all best on your journey.

    thanks again

    Jules
