    Cloth Wipes

I am wanting to make some cloth wipes myself for DS and the new bub.

I was wondering from those who use them and those who make them also what fabric you find to be the best??
And where did you purchase it from also??

    Any input would be great.

    TIA.

I bought mine from a WAHM I saw on Facebook - Heartstring Things. I LOVE them, flannelette on one side and a fluffy fleecy minky type material on the other, great size. Great for everything, we use them as washers in the bath/shower, great for snotty noses, dirty hands and faces, as well as wipes. So beautiful!

Good old spotlight flanelette works a treat!

They so sometimes have a textured poly cotton fleece (which some online stores call sherpa) or a micro terry which you can use one one side for more gripability

Yeah I was thinking of terry one side and cotton or flannel on the other. Like Skye said the terry is good for when they are grots and Rhys is definitely one of those. Thanks for the input girls.....how big do you suggest making them??

How many should I make to last me a day for 2 bubs?? My mum suggested 50 and thinking about it I thought that might be a good number with 2 bubs and one being a newborn!! What do you all think?

That'd probably be a good number. Get you through nappies & face washers too hopefully.

I say go at least one side terry. I've tried sooo many and I still go back to my trusty facewashers. They absorb so much, clean so well... others can push poop around and not clean it at all.

I just bought some cheap face washers from Big W and KMart. I have about 20 and that has been fine for the last 7.5 months! I just chuck them in the wash with the nappies. Occasionally when I run out I use the terry flat nappies instead.
