When can I go back to real bras?!

We've been weaned for a week (yay!) and I was wondering when I can go back to real bras? I don't seem to have much milk left, I feel kind of full but can't express anything.

i think i left it about a month or 6 wks and then went for a fitting... i think i was just hoping my bbs would soon go back to their old perky selves and not be so saggy... alas it never happened!!!
enjoy your new bras - get yourself something that makes you feel really special.

i still cant wear normal bras they just dont fit good i stopped BF 12 weeks ago im still wearing a mat bra that i got when preg coz it didnt fit then but does now

I've been in normal bras for a long time now, and I'm still breastfeeding LOL. Went shopping one day coz I was sick of the unflattering maternity bras.

I say just give it a go. If you're worried about mastitis (I'm assuming this is why?) I can usually tell little niggles before anything happens so then swap back to a softer bra for a few days. I guess if you're prone to mastitis then stay away until you feel like the lactation has stopped.

Sarah, I couldn't wait to get back to "real" bras, so I waited about 8 weeks. The bras fitted really well for ages, but recently I have noticed they are too tight. For some really odd reason my boobs seem to grow about a year after weaning I think this might be hormonal, maybe related to contraception so that might be something else to consider. Generally though, you should be right after about 2 -3 months.

Like Liz, I'm already back in real bras and I haven't weaned (we're down to one bf in the morning, yay!, but that's for another thread...).

If you still fit in your older bras you can try one I guess, otherwise just wait until size seems to have settled down.
