Can anyone point me in the direction of how to find a private midwife who is experienced with VBACs? I'm due in Feb with my third baby after 2 emergency c-sections and know i'll need more support this time!
You could birth at the Sunshine hospital with caseload like I did, I did my VBA2C there with a midwife and it was fantastic, they are very very supportive!! Or look up the maternity coalition and that has a list of private midwives there, I spoke to a couple of them before finding Sunshine hossie, pm me if you need any more info about caseload!! Having continuity of care and that trust (that way you know that even if you end up with CS3 it was for the right reason, and you can still have a good birthing experience!) makes the world of difference!! Unofficially I can tell you too that the Mercy hospital is good for vbac, depends on the ob, and I have heard good things about Lionel Steinberg, a private ob, just do lots of research, believe in your body, check out my posts re my vba2c!!

Hi,
I used a Private Midwife when I had my VBA2C is March this year. She was an amazing lady who will always have a very special place in my heart. I have PM you her details. If you have any questions feel free to PM or ask here Good luck with your VBA2C! I found the most important thing was to surround myself with people who believe in me and my body and my ability to give birth! Thats what you are doing so

I don't know a private middie who wouldn't support your goal! Midwives in Private Practice is the Vic group of PM's. I can personally recommend Midwives Naturally - they have a website, too
