How awful you poor thing I think you can take Hydrolyte or Gastrolyte for hydration but best check witch one is ok with the pharmacist.

I don't know if it is safe to take Immodium or the like for the diarrhea again check with the chemist.

I had bad M/S and was given Maxolon for the vomiting but you'll need a script for that from the doc and if the gastro is going to run it's course in 24 - 48 hrs it might be best not to take it and just hold out as horrible as it is!

But definitely keep your self hydrated!!!

Hope you feel better really soon!!!

And yeah sometimes Google is a bit scary!

I would call the nearest chemist or doc for advice.

I got gastro 3 times in the first 12 weeks with Bella. I juts had those gastrolight icypoles from chemist and also lucosade and water. Just hold out and you can take panadol. Its terrible but it does go fairly fast.

    Awww hun, that really sucks.

Don't worry about your gastro affecting the baby, my best friend had bad gastro when she was pregnant and her Dr told her that her body will take over and provide nutrition for the baby when she was really sick. Our bodies are amazing things, especially when we are pregnant.

As for taking something, I'm not sure. I'd definitely talk to your Dr or midwife.

    That really sucks!
I had gastro at 12 weeks when I was pg with my first and he is absolutely fine so I wouldn't worry.
Apparently the best thing to do is stay in bed (for the most part!) and let it run its course.

I hope you get better soon, I feel your pain!

Yuck I know what that feels like - I had gastro about 5 or 6 times through my pregnancy with Miss M - first time at 8 weeks and DS had it at the same time - our house did NOT smell pretty!!! lol

Hope you are feeling better soon I drank a lot of watered down powerade -just not the one with the added stuff like ginseng (i think it is?) or anything like that
