Tummy cramps - should I be worried?

All night last night and this morning I have had some really ouchy cramps in my tummy, kind of belly button height and a bit higher..

Is it anything to worry about? I would have thought if it were bubs the pains would be lower? I'm hoping its just wind or something like that but its stressing me out!

    Any suggestions?

It could be wind Kellie, lots of changes are happening atm and your belly is probably feeling a bit uncomfy!

I got heaps of weird unexplained pains in the beginning of each of my pregnancies, I'm sure everything is just fine .

Hopefully I can see you this morning!

I agree that it would most likely be wind pain or something similar.

I would expect the worrying pains to be lower, definatly below the belly button.

Hey hun, it's scary isn't it? You notice every little twinge. It could be wind pains like the others said (I got some reeeeaally nasty pains, but more in the 2nd trimester), and it also could be your uterus stretching. I know that's probably more likely if the pains were further down, but thought it was worth mentioning as this one scared the life outta me. Had repetitive nasty pains in my belly 'till eventually, convinced that I was miscarrying, I went and had an US... only to see a beautiful little heart-beat! Whatever it is, hope it resolves soon. We'll keep our distance until then!

thanks Santosha - you'd think with my 2nd pregnancy I'd be more relaxed, but not at all!

Yes pains around that area is ur digestive system. Gall bladder, intestines, bowel and stomach.

Your uterus is still very low down in ur pelvis at this stage, but its also normal to get mild cramps early on in ur pregnancy there too.
