    Cleaning the oven....

Its been on my list for a little while now- anyone got any good ideas?

I have the easy-off oven stuff, which I've used previously, but its terribly toxic and I'm not sure I want to use it with DS around.

So I'm after more natural alternatives that work. I've read about making a paste of bi-carb and water, and heating up a pan of water in there until it gets all steamy. I wasn't really sure if either of these was going to work, so haven't tried yet.

    Suggestions appreciated!

I read somewhere on BB about putting the wire racks in a sink full of laundry detergent and leaving overnight....in morning its just a matter of wiping down the racks - no elbow grease needed. I cant find the original post though....i would hate to have missed some vital ingredient here....
Ive read about the bicarb paste solution too - i dunno if that works....
    Watching with interest....

I did mine last week. Sprayed on a half half solution of water and vinegar. Srinkle on bicarb enough to make a paste. Spray again and leave for a few hours.
Bit of elbow grease and a microfibre mitt gets it all off.
Gotta make sure you wipe it out well with water though or you get residue.
