damn oven cleaner..

didnt make my oven clean at all!!


i scrubbed with a scourer and its still yuck..

any ideas what i can do to get it cleaner? i just turned it on for about 10 mins (i cleaned it yesterday) and i dont think ive cleaned all the stuff off properly.. i used an odourless cleaner, but it kinda smells in there.

can i use a bi-carb paste or something?

How long did you leave the cleaner on for?

After i clean i put the oven as high as it will go for a while to kill all the chemicals

Hmmm, I usually leave the cleaner on overnight and it usually sluices the baked on grime away easily the next morning. But I do know what it's like to not rinse it properly... you get those nasty looking white streaks... sometimes i'd like to just hose the thing out.... but imagine the mess!

yep I use a paste of bicarb and water wiped on (extra thick on the yuck bits) and then sprayed with vinegar, leave for a few hours or overnight and give a good scrub and a good wipe with clean water.

it said to leave it on for 4 hours.. i left it on for 4-5 hours.

perhaps ill give it a go with some bi carb & vinegar.... see how i go..

im off to turn it up as high as it can go for now... lol thanks Ammaki!
