Call the Dr that you usually see and ask what they think. They might tell you to come in and then they will send you to the hospital with a referral if they think it's serious enough.

The hospital might end up triaging you for hours to tell you that it's nothing serious if you just turn up there, but if you have a referral from the Dr then you usually end up jumping the Q

A head injury in a 7 week old will be triaged as urgent, and you will be required to be admitted overnight for observation. I would definitely go to the hospital and be seen.

My 5 yo (yes, I know, not quite the same thing ) had a nasty bump to the head but no LOC or any symptoms, but the way she hit her head made me uncomfortable just leaving it, so I rang Nurse On Call and got some really good advice, and she told me it didn't sound like she needed seeing.

Does your MCHN have an emergency contact number?

I ended up taking him to the doctor and he's fine.

Mainly took him in because I wasn't sure what exactly happened.

He was asleep in the swing and Noah was watching Mickey Mouse, so I strapped Oliver in and told Noah I was going to have a shower. Heard Noah run past the bathroom while I was under, which was kind of suspicious, so I turned the shower off and could hear Ollie crying. Got out, wrapped in a towel, thinking he'd spat his dummy out and woken up and he wasn't in his swing. (talk about a panic!) He was underneath it, crying. Noah must have unbuckled him to try to pick him up/ give him a hug.
So, because I didn't know if he'd lost consciousness (though I highly doubted it) I took him in. After waiting over 2 hours, finally saw the doc for all of 5mins.
But at least he got the all clear!
