have u tried craft stores??
u might be able to get sheets u can print on and then cut them out.
i know u can get magnet sheets to make ur own magnets
Does anyone know whether it's possible to print your own stickers? I'm not talking about rectangular address labels, rather printing your own pictures onto some sort of self adhesive sheet and then cutting them out?
Or should I be able to get them printed somewhere?
Or are there any other ways to make your own stickers outside of slapping some clear contact over the top of a cut-out picture?

Google 'custom stickers' and you'll have oddles of places to choose from.
Thanks for your suggestions. I went to Officeworks and they had small 4x6 sheets of self-adhesive photo paper than you can feed through your home printer...but that was really the only thing. It was fairly dear, $13 for 20 sheets but still it could work out if you were using them for some sort of crafty gift idea. Bit expensive for what I wanted them for though.
i have a staicker maker from kmart - you feed whatever you want to be the sticker in one side, and it comes out self adhesive. not the cheapest option, but we used it to make labels for wine bottles for our wedding three years ago - soooo simple and they came out awesome. there are refill catridges too
well, i'm assuming they still have them!
i last used it to make a hand print of DD's into a sticker to go in DH's birthday card so i have the packaging for replacement cartridge sitting here if you want more details
Ohh, gimme details! and further explanation please - do you just feed paper through it?
Will they be waterproof? How did they go on the wine bottles?
righto 2 easiest options.
1. A xyron machine. Come in a range of sizes. Can get them from craft stores and department stores. From abour $15 I think. I have a big one that's about $100 but it also laminates, makes magnets or laminates one side and makes the other sticky etcetc.
2. JAC paper is double sided adhesive paper. easy enough to get so you could print out what you like and then adhere it to the paper and cut it out. bout $2per sheet from memory.
Ooo-er. Like the sound of the sticker making machine. Prolly not practical for this thing though.
Kim, where do you do get the JAC paper sheet from? Are they A4 sized or smaller? And do they pretty well stick to anything, or just paper?
