Talking Did anyone else kick off spring with a good 'spring clean'?

Well by some strange coincidence I could not stop cleaning today, the first day of spring!

Did anyone else jump start their spring cleaning? What did you do?

    I cleaned...

...my bathroom from top to bottom also cleaning cupboards or scrubbing places I have never scrubbed before.

...my laundry, shelves, washing machine in and out, walls, light switches etc.

...kitchen, fridge in and out, deep freezer, window sills, pantry, cutlery draw, stove, cupboard doors, and anything else I could find.

...folded all the washing that has been loading up on the spare bed since my back has been sore (it is much better now ) and put it away.

I am sure there is more but that is all I can think of for now managed to fit in a swim with DD and DH too.

I feel so good! (although I already have a list of things to clean tomorrow)

Yes, although technically it wasn't spring, it was Sunday and Monday.

Maaaay have had something to do with the fact that we had a rental inspection today. And we're moving in a month so that kept us motivated to just pack some stuff away (or chuck it) while we were at it.

It does feel good though doesn't it!

Well, I actually got my act into gear and cleaned the oven, although it was well and truly due, so not really due to it being spring.

My motivation to clean happened on sunday where i scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom, vacuumed the whole house, scrubbed the bathroom from top to bottom, cleaned the toilet, i did 2 loads of washing and i washed our towels and hung them out. All of which took me an hour and a half.

Tomorrow i have more cleaning to do, i need to clean up the spare rooms and organise the garage. My backyard needs cleaning up, needs to be mowed and my gardens need to be weeded and i have to sweep all the tanbark off the concrete.. the sweeping and weeds is all i can do which annoys me.

Im still at my sisters in Melbourne, but I cleaned her bathroom (vomit), her bedroom (covered with dust an inch think lol) her pantry, did her washing from about the last 3 months and vacuumed the house ...
    It was fun!!

You certainly achieved a lot in one day. Feel free to drop by my house any time!!! I'm afraid the spring cleaning bug didn't bite me today. We made the most of a sunny day ( we have had weeks and weeks of rain here) and went to feed the ducks at the park and visited our Playgroup Toy Library to hire some new toys and puzzles. Maybe I'll clean tomorrow-or maybe not!!

Wow you are most welcome to drop in to my place!! I can't seem to get to the bottom of the clean washing basket lately.
Enjoy your lovely clean house - you deserve it!!

I got stuck into toys and sorting stuff. We got a new bookshelf/toybox combo for R's room and a trundle toybox for the big boys room the other day so I had toy sorting session.

Put all the baby stuff in her room, toddler stuff in C's room and other stuff in boys room.

DH came home from work and tidied and dusted the top of the entertainment unit on the front room too.

Right girls, you have inspired me!!

I LOVE a clean house, but am shockingly lazy and can ignore the chaos for looooong periods of time.

I am going to write a list tonight, head to bed for a good nights sleep, then get stuck in tomorrow!!!

I started Saturday afternoon and have been on a frenzy since. Going to wipe out kitchen cupboards tomorrow and decobweb. Saturday was the back yard, Sunday was all the floors (hand scrubbing DISGUSTING grout with bleach while DP took lil one outside, been bugging me since we'd moved in) and the bathroom cabinets. Yesterday Fridge/freezer, behind oven and behind fridge. Today folding all the washing accumulated in spare room and putting half away (baby woke). Friday will be sit down and have a slack day I think.
