Exclamation **URGENT HELP PLEASE!!!** Texta and photos!!

    Hi all

Charlotte has found an Artline "Freezer Bag" marker pen...and gone to town on my sisters photos!! VERY VERY UNCOOL!!
They are not replacable and there are no negatives...

I HAVE to get this texta off the photos - but I have no idea how.

The pen says nothing about wht it is - I will assume though that is is water proof - as it is a freezer marker - butI cannot afford to try things on the photos themselves in case it ruins it iykwim...

    SO! Any suggestions, wisdom please!!

    TIA

    oooohhh NOOOO!

I was told once to run them under water briefly but that probably wouldn't remove permanent marker.

Perhaps take them and the pen to a specialist photo shop and see what they can suggest.

Oh Alexis, I'm not sure it's going to be a happy ending...photos are paper with ink and you're trying to get rid of ink...

Sorry hun, but you've got no chance of getting the photos back unscathed. The only option you have is to scan them & take them to a specialist who can restore them (or take the originals).

Tinkerbell, water will work for a multitude of things, as long as you do it very very carefully as the image will become tacky as soon as it is wet. You won't get ink off with whater though.

Thinking the same thing as Sarah,

Your best bet would probably be to scan them and use photoshop to touch them up and then print them again

    Good luck

Even scanning them... they will just not be the same as you lose quality in the photo definition. (if that makes sense). I'm a printer and we've tried doing that and it's just not the same.... sorry to say.
    Good luck. Sticky situation.....

There is a special pen that photo labs use to remove marker, not sure you can buy it but I do know it exists. I would contact a lab and ask for their advice.

lol nelle...I tried to tell samantha that she did cos she recognised her, not because she was trying to remove her from existance like in a horror movie or something! I dont think my sister saw the humour this morning...:S

Thanks Cai!! I will have a scout around tomorrow and see what I can find
