Talking Self initiated poo on potty! Where to from here

Yay, I'm so proud of DD. DD just self initiated a poo on the potty. She called out to me from the bathroom - poo. I ran in and she had already undressed herself and done a poo in the potty. Her nappy had some in too, but she obviously realised that she needed to go/was doing a poo, then headed to the potty.

Where do I go from here?

I started introducing the potty and toilet at about 17 months when she started showing an interest. She lost interest a few months later and about 3 months ago, I started putting her on the toilet occasionally and she would always do a wee.

I didnt push things because i didnt want either herself or me getting frustrated, and with a now 4 month old, really didnt have the time to dedicate to it.

She's obviously interested now, and able to undress herself, and also understands when she has the urge to go sooooooo

    1. do I ease into it? or
    2. do I go cold turkey on nappies during waking periods and stay home for a few weeks?

Thanks for your help in advance

I would ease into it. She is obviously very proud of herself and you should be too. No pressure. There will be mistakes. Hey she is human and so are you. Lots of encouragement and praise. She is a star and it is really so exciting for you all that she has reached this stage.
