Prewashing Bambino Mio's?? What to wash Cottons & Covers with??

As the title suggests, my new Bambino Mio Cotton Prefolds & Covers have arrived and I am wondering what to wash them in? I mean, I will be using my washing machine but what product do I actually use? What's best to wash them in to keep them in their best condition? The instructions say "non biological" wash - What is that?! Should I do the Cottons & Covers separately? Anything else special about washing them I should know?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Aaaah so much to learn, I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by my cloth decision at the moment!

Non Biological wash means nothing with emzymes (like Bio-Zet etc). Look for the 'enviromentally friendly' detergents - I buy a giant tub from Mitre 10 ('cause DH works there so he can get it without a special trip) called earthon, but anything without emzymes will do. You might like to buy Amolin or something for sensitive skin to use initally in case bubs reacts to normal detergent. HTH!
