Unhappy Tip of DS penis looks sore?

So Ds slept over at my mums on saturday night, and sunday morning he was really grumpy and when mum changed his nappy the tip of his penis was really red

Ds is not circumsised and when he had nappy rash last year i checked his penis it retracted a tiny way but I left it as we dont believe in pulling it back, anyway when i had a look at it this morning it wasnt retracting to where it was before?

It looks like it has little blisters on it? He doesnt seem to be upset by it today as he was yesterday! We put some moo goo on it to help ease the redness and it seems to look better!

i am asking here as I dont want to take him to the DRs in case he retracts it all the way and hurts him and maybe cause more damage? I wish i could be more assertive and stand up for myslef but i cant

Oh I should mention we think he is getting his 2yr molars as his wee has been really acidic and quite strong like last time when he was teething.

poor baby ...any help would be great

    Dunno.

Could be the acidic wees as DD used to get nappy rash during teething.

May be some infection of some kind. Is he peeing okay, with no grizzles?

Probably best to smother the tip with nappy cream.

    Poor bubba.

My DS had symptoms exactly as you described a while ago - he had thrush. The doctor gave him some cream and it cleared up straight away. It is quite common apparently because a nappy is warm and moist (sounds gross, I know!) and perfect conditions for thrush. I can't remember the cream - I know we had to mix two together and apply it - an anti-fungal and cortisone cream I think.
