If you co sleep how do you manage intimate time ?

Just wondering ? Our dd has been sleeping with us in the last couple of weeks and I just wondered when it comes time for dh and I to reconnect on an intimate level again, how will we be able to do that alone if we are co sleeping ? Can anyone shed some light on their experiences or suggestions ?

    Hi,

It's a question co-sleepers are asked regularly - and I think the general consensus from co-sleepers is that you look the questioner in the eye, look a little aghast at their situation and say "So, you only ever have sex at night? In bed? and then walk away shaking your head a little sorrowfully at their situation...
Did you ever notice that co-sleepers tend to have more than the average number of kids? You can get the time you need, for sure. For some it's a cot set up in another bedroom - usually babies will have a long sleep from which they are not easily disturbed. Or another adult bed set up. You can simply move them over in your bed (I recommend a kingsize bed - best investment I ever made. Depending on the age of the kids, there's the snuggle while they watch a video over breakfast - they think it's a treat, there's the time they are having their afternoon nap. There's the thrill of being caught. If you do get caught in a *special cuddle* I think it's nice for kids to know that their mum and dad love each other.....

That's what I thought Barb. Lots of co sleepers have more than one child so how was the second one made ? DD is too little to catch us but she is such a restless baby that I just wondered what we would do when the time came because we want to have our kids fairly close together. I guess we will have no more long drawn out sessions for a while.....
