Speaking of mops...which squeezy ones are the best?

I have one of those huge, shaggy mops that requires the whole special bucket etc. I was told it was the best for cleaning, and it is good. But it leaves my floors quite wet (I'm only little so I don't have the body strength to really give it a good wring out in the bucket contraption), and its PITA if I just want to give the kitchen tiles a quick once over.

So I thought I would get a good old squeezy sponge mop and I trotted off to Bunnings, only to be completely overwhelmed by as astonishing array of choice. I stood there like a rabbit in headlights and promptly decided to head home and ask for words of wisdom from you guys.

    Any squeezy mop recommendations??

Ive got a fantastic squeezy mop from the market. It is pink and there are soo many imitations of it going on

This one from the market leaves your floors dry and picks up hair from the carpet too!

I have laminate and it is great. Mum's house has carpet and a dog and it has been great.

It was i think $30 though and you can get imitatoon ones for $9 bucks but they just dont work and the sponges fall off in a few uses.

These ones u can replace the head too. Name is Magic Mop from Jenscape PTY LTD.

I've given lots a go . I really don't like the ones with strips (they have a name apparently), if you don't have much strenth maybe for for the cotton thready type ones that has a squeeze thing that you push down over the top. The head isn't too big - just don't leave it on water overnight cos it can swell a bit.

I also have one of those flat sponge thingo ones - they are ok too.

I will NEVER make a decent mop salesperson.....

heehee....if you google 'master mop jenscape'' and go to the jenscape site that comes up, the description is really quite funny....translation problems, I think. I particularly like the "pastes to the floor" section.

Seriously, though, it does look like a good mop. Which market did you get it from?

Lulu, don't worry, I think you have many more career options than mop salesperson...

LOL! Oh they sell hair accessories too! I never knew they were even on the net until you mentioned it

But my mop (i bought it more 2 years ago) is called magic mop but it looks the same though. Maybe they had to change the name of it!

Man at least put a clean mop up as the photo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought it from Fairfield markets in NSW but he also goes to other markets i believe as he is not always there. If i see him i can ask if he has a representative in Melbourne if you want

My lasted 2+ plus coz i bought 1 extra mopping head.

okay so I took myself off down to Bunnings to check out the mops....came back with a :

Decor Speed timesaver mop - basically a squeegy sponge mop with a microfibre pad over the sponge - I really like the way microfibre cleans, it squeeses out well without too much effort and is quick to get out for all those spills....

anyway, so far so good, HTH
