Question What do you think of 4 m.o. DDs routine?

all the books ive read say alot different to the routine shes sortof carved out for herself:
id really like to know how you other guys with ones around 4 months old go with your routines? here is DDs routine:

6am - wake, feed, back to bed/in swing til asleep
    9am: wake and play
    10am: feed, back to sleep
    1pm: wake and play
    2pm: feed, back to sleep
5pm: wake, feed and play, bath
    630: down to sleep
    8pm: feed and play
    930: down to sleep
11pm: dreamfeed, sleeps thru til 6am next day

so shes have 6 bottles, takes between 100-140mls per feed. most books ive read base thier routines on babys awake time being 2 hrs, DD can hardly last 1.5 hrs awake time, and they base it on 5 bottles but DD just cant make it thru the night without the 6th bottle.

    feedback pls? TIA

It sounds pretty good to me! If the only reason you are concerned is that she isn't a book perfect baby then I would stop stressing

Oh and PS I am jealous! It sounds like you are doing a fab job with Jade.

ETA: Sorry, brain is a bit scattered at this time of night but just wanted to add that an hour to an hour and a half is what Imogen was doing at that age. She has only really started doing an hour and a half to two hours in the last couple of weeks really. I wouldn't stress, babies grow nice and tall in their sleep!

Thanks hun, i just hear of FF babies her age sleeping 10 or 12 hours thru and wonder why she cant do it, but maybe her long day sleeps are the reason.
and as for 6 bottles it doesnt bother me giving her that many, but i would rather she took 5 bottles just with a bit more at each feed...

Yeah, probably true! My girl has a 3hr nap in the afternoon which is bliss for getting things done but it definitely seems to make her resistant to going down at night (it is from 2pm to 5pm). If I try and shorten the sleep, though, she gets super cranky so I've just left it. Kind of frustrating but what can you do, hey? She sleeps similar to your DD overnight - down around 9pm then a dreamfeed before sleeping through till 6 or 7am.

She will get there, I know most of the Mother's in my group are finding their babies have just started stretching from 7pm to 7am. Hang in there!

If it's working for you hun, just go with it - forget about what the books say. It actually sounds like a great routine to me and TBH I think sleeping from 11 till 6 overnight is pretty good! As for FF babies sleeping 10 to 12 hrs through - mine never did that at 4 months of age.

    Wow, I'm jealous!

I'm lucky to get DS to sleep for 30 minutes during the day, unless he's on me or in the pram walking. We had a week of waking up every 2 hours overnight which has just settled down, last night I had a 6 hour stretch, bliss!

So, I think you are doing brilliantly!

pretty butterfly: i didnt make it up myself so i cant take the credit haha, i stayed in the MBU and the mothercraft nurses use that routine from 2 weeks of age!

thanks for your feedback guys, yeah i think the books really make me worry she isnt 'normal' but i guess no baby is normal.
