    Red face Milk pimples/hormonal rash

DS is 6 weeks old and has had this on his face for a few weeks now.

Now I know it's totally OK and normal but it just looks soooo horrid. It's getting worse and worse, has spread to his cheeks, neck, chest and even his scalp (thankfully he has lots of hair so it's not all that noticeable). My other babies had it too but honestly this is the worst I've ever seen and it's just not budging.

Total vanity here - I know it will eventually go away but is there anything I can do to hurry it along? I want to have his photos taken but honestly, it looks really awful and I don't want them taken while it's still there

nah there is nothing u can do. They will go away by themselves by the time he is 3 months old. I know there is a steriod type shot they can get from the doc, but to me its not really worth it IYKWIM. Mia was pretty bad, i can show u pick if u want lol. they are scary! hehehehe

Both my DD's had it too, and with DD#2 it was worse than what I remembered DD#1's to be!

Try to eliminate any soaps/lotions (if you havent already!) and just use water. Hope it clears up soon hun!

Thanks girls, already using plain water and rubbing a bit of BM into it too which helps to dry it out and reduces the redness (magic stuff the ole BM )

Was hoping there might be a topical cream I could use, the steroid shot sounds way over the top to me too!
