    Night time bottle? What The?

OK so DD is 11mths and has been sick for a couple of weeks, bad cough etc etc wont make people read my whinge again.

Last night she woke just before 2 coughing as usual, she would fall asleep in my arms upright but the minute put her back in bed (raised) she would wake up sooking again.
Gave in after about 30min of this and put her in bed with us, she did nothing but toss and turn and sook the whole time, got up gave her some gel for her teeth and some nurofen (JIC), still wouldn't settle, i had tried giving her water but this didn't help either.
In the end i made her a bottle (she hasn't had night time bottles in over 6mths) and she gulped the whole thing then went off to sleep until after 7:30 this morn (had to wake her to go to an appt)... she has NEVER slept this late in ages she is always up b/w 6 and 7 and in our bed for cuddles with DP before work.

She is normally a great eater at night but has been a little fussy the last couple of nights, could this just be a phase or has her been coming into our bed that early been a sign maybe she has been getting hungry, i just took it as her wanting to be awake.

She has 3 meals a day and an afternoon snack, generally 2 naps a day and sometimes 2-3 bottles.
Lately it's only 2 as she has been dropping her lunchtime bottle.
her other 2 bottles are given before solids and i know i need to swap these around.

If i give her tea at say 6 and then a bottle at say 7 and in bed at 7:30 instead of bottle at 5:30 and tea at 6:30 do you think this would make a difference?
The only prob i have had is in the past she wont take a bottle after solids, even an our later.

Sorry if i have confused anyone, am not sure if it's a once off or if she has been getting hungry?

You could always try, I've always given milk before bed to try fill up there tummies. DD who is 3 still has to have her bedtime 'milky'
Maybe even try tea at 5.30 so then bottle is bit longer after and she may take better?

    Yep, I'd swap em.

DD is 2 and has only just given up her night time bottle. Honestly, I just reckon they know what they need. According to the 'rules' DD was drinking way too much milk but she suddenly gave up when it suited her so I think be guided by what your DD seems to want. Seems like at the moment she wants night-time milk so I'd go with that.

    Thanks everyone.

Last night she woke at about 1:30 but i managed to get her back to sleep without a bottle and then she was in our bed from 6am (normal) until her bottle at 7am.

Am thinking today will try a bottle after lunch (even though i know she wont take it), an afternoon snack of yoghurt and fruit at about 2:30 before her 3pm nap will try tea at about 6 and then a bottle about 7ish before she goes down at 7:30...

Am also thinking if she wont take a lunch time bottle i might try giving her a bottle at 2:30 instead of an afternoon snack then maybe give her half a biscuit or something when she wakes to tide her over until say 6 for tea?

I really don't know, she hasn't had middle of the night bottles for well over 6mths, last night she ate an entire tin of soup for tea (baby's heinz thing) which filled her bowl, she then had chicken and veggies (a full bowl same size) then at about 6:45 she had a FULL bottle... surely she can't wake up hungry after that?
