Hi ladies, i just recieved my first batch of new haute nappies, there was no pre use care instructions just how to wash them once soiled... do u suggest i just wash them once or twice or something first?

They have a microfibre insert don't they? They will need only one prewash

ah yes microfibre...
do i really need to use hotwater to wash my nappies?

yeah they come with two microfibre ones. So Sammi's right - just the one prewash will do. They don't need to build up their absorbency, just to take off the manufacturing residue.

ETA - and most times I wash in cold - or cold/warm - depends if I can be bothered changing the setting on the machine or not.

HMMMM i just poured water into one of the nappies (only small amounts) with the insert in palce and clipped down to smalles size, and the water just sat ontop of the material then run out, it didn't even get to the insert. So when i wash the whole nappy how many times do you think it will take for that to become absorbant?
