    Pockets vs AI2's - what's the difference?

Ok, I've been trying to find this out on various nappy websites but for the life of me, can not work out the difference between pocket nappies and AI2's. I know AI2's is all in 2's, but is there an actual difference between those and pockets? Could a lovely nappy expert please spell it out for this pregnant brain blonde?

    TIA

Easy love. Pockets have a "pocket" part either at the back or the front of the nappy (front with Ecobubs, back with most of the other brands) that you stuff the inserts into and adjust the absorbency to what you need.

AI2's are usually snap in boosters, you don't actually stuff them into a pocket type thing, you have the actual material against bub's bum.

Aaah thanks Mel. I think I get the picture now. I have a couple of GK's for DS which I know are pockets. I am guessing the AI2's have their own cover then as well, no need to buy separate?

I am renewing my interest in MCN for this next bub. I have DS part time in cloth (sposies for outings and overnight). He has mainly BBB with covers and a few odd others, so now just expanding my limited knowledge of the different types.

    Thanks again

Yeah all the AI2's I have are ones that have minky or PUL or something on the outside, so you don't need a cover. So basically its an AIO - just that the inserts aren't sewn in, they snap in (some can just lay in there though, I have some widdlewuns that the inserts just lay in the shell).
