    Just coincidences or something more?

I have been thinking about this alot latley as sometimes I just 'think' things and then usually within a matter or minutes up to a weeks later they actualley happen.

I'll give you a couple of examples of what I mean- when we were in High School we were heading off to school camp, I said to my friends "hey wouldn't it be funny if there was a bushfire" it was a completly random comment, out of no where just popped into my head. Anyway that night there was a raging bushfire, that came so close to the camp the teachers were ready to evacuate us and put us all in the swimming pool, luckily wind direction changed at the last minute and we were fine.

Another example- I was pg with my DS, and one night I was sitting in bed just reading, and all of a sudden I said outloud "this baby is going to be a reflux baby" and sure enough he was.

The event that got me thinking about this most recently was the other night, it had started to rain quite heavily, and I thought to myself, isnt it amazing how there hasn't been any power cuts this winter, and within 2 minutes of thinking it the power went out and didnt come back on for 2 hours.

Sometimes I think it is just coincedence (or over active imagination), sometimes I wonder if there is more too it. Has anyone else had this happen- what do you put it down too?

That happens to me but more commonly I'll think about my mum and i'll get a txt or she'll ring. She always happens to ring if i'm upset too. I also happen to be about to dial someone and they call me!

    Wow, thats pretty freaky!!

Me and my partner have this weird connection, i will pick up my phone to call or message him and he will call me and the same happens to him. I'll be thinking something random like "we should buy a bbq for when summer comes as bbqs are always fun" and then he will say something along those lines and i always say "get out of my head!!!!!!!!"

That happens to me all the time too! It's crazy.

One that happens often is someone will say something to me and it will remind me of some really obscure movie or TV show I saw so long ago I'm not even sure if i really saw it or just made it up in my head, and later that day I'll flip on the TV and there it is.

Or I'll think of someone i haven't seen in ages and wonder how they are doing and then I'll bump into them later that day at the grocery store.

Yep heaps of times, here are two of mine.....

Years ago we were driving to the shops & went past a little old lady gardening. I thought something was going to happen to her & then as we drove back past to go home she was laying on the ground with ambulance guys working on her.

A few months ago I mentioned to a few friends how amazing it was that the four of us had had six pregnancies with no major issues... Two days later one of those friends miscarried at 11 weeks.

I often wonder as well if they are just coincidences...

Often when the phone rings, I'll know who is on the other end but I haven't been thinking about them before then (and no, we don't have caller ID! )

When I was six, one night I was lying in bed thinking we'd never had a fire in the house. The next day, the house had been struck by lightening in a storm and the inside was gutted & the new doll I got the day before had melted (my priority at 6). We lived in a caravan in the driveway for 6 months whilst the house was repaired. I blamed myself for years.

Again, as a child, we were at the cricket. The batter had been in a while and I was bored, so I said something about him getting out. He was out next ball. Now that has to be coincidence, but I remember Dad was not happy with me .
