Target can be quite cheap, especially when they are on sale! The quality is very good too.
where can i get these from? there doesn't seem like much on ebay and i only want second hand or new if cheap. So other than ebay where can i get them from and can ya get matching ones too that match cot. Been looking in ebay this morning but not much found. Need more fitted cot sheets with two cots that will be in use at same time. When bub arrives and progress's to cot. thanks for your advice?

what about best & less?? it is baby week there at the moment so you might be able to pick up something there cheap.
Squidipa,
For the basinette mattress a pillowcase is the perfect size as a fitted sheet. Also means it won't come off if the baby moves. I am planning on getting a couple of pillowcases & matching flat sheet & just cutting it down to make basinette sheets. Cheaper than buying specialty sets.
Not sure about cot sheets but I agree somewhere like target should be good.
HTH
For our bassinet I just got an old flat sheet that I cut down to size and my mum hemmed for me (since I am crap at sewing). I have also found that bunny rugs fit perfectly as well - so they can serve a dual purpose as wraps and as sheets. Another thing that fits is flannelette flat nappies, if you have any of those (of course depends on the size of your bassinet...). I never bothered to buy sheet sets for the bassinet because it doesn't get used for long enough to justify the cost. For the cot I just got the sheet sets from target or kmart when they were on special - fairly cheap and since the cot gets used for a long time, and my DD has a toddler bed that also fits cot sheets, I figured it was worth buying sets.
Considering you will need more than 1 set, i found it a waste of money really....so i did what Bon suggested - made my own. BOught some flannette (winter baby) from spotlight and overlocked the edges, then just wrapped it tight around the matress (we have a bruin cradle). Still using it now. Works great and saves a bit of $$$.
I did buy the child one piece of new bedding though.....a cotton sheet set. I find the living textiles range reasonable...there are a few online shops that sell this brand - for flat sheet and fitted - $16.95.
Good luck....
thanks for your tips and advice, you have all pointed out my reason why i was thinking not to go brand new or to go for another option as its not long they are in there. but a pillow case wow thats a GREAT idea.
