    What's your average gas bill?

My latest gas bill is $290, I've never paid over $200 and I think even that's a bit much considering all we have is gas heater and hot water service. Hopefully they have over estimated and our next bill will be significantly less. Just curious what others get charged on average for your gas bills. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Sorry I cant help we dont get a gas bill and have to buy bottles of gas.

A bottle of gas is around $90-$110 and lasts us around 2 months. We have gas hot water and the stove running from it.

We have $40 per month direct debited and we have never had an excess bill, we just get a statement sent out every 3 months...so I guess ours is around $120 every 3 months.

About $200 per bill (quarterly I think) but this can go up to near $400 in winter as we have gas central heating and our house is big AND we have a teenage DD who is forever turning it up In sumer it goes down to about $150. We are a family of 5 and I cook alot on a gas stove too.

Wow Bath, your winter bill has blown me away but with central heating I can understand. Makes mine seem ok.

Ok you made me double check the filing cabinet LOL we had 1 bill of $406 last winter ('08).... but the average is much lower than I said... the summer bills get down to $70 - $80. So it really varies depending on the season. Last winter we had relatives stay with us too... another family of 5... for over a week... so 10 people in the house... that might explain the anomaly. LOL ...lots of extra hot water and cooking!

Yep, being a SAHM does cost more in utilities.... but compared to daycare fees I guess it's nothing! Although the wear and tear on the house!

Ours is about $150 in winter and about $30-40 in summer.

We only have the central heating coming off it so summer time is just a connection fee grr
