DD1 is at day care today. i am just at home. should i go and get her early before the dust storm hits brissy? they said it will be here by 12! how long will it last do you think? surely the day care centre will make them stay inside with doors closed. i usually get her around 3:30 anyway.. hmmm what to do! i want to keep bub inside if possible too!
theyd be crazy not to keep them inside.
there wa a really bad dustorm when i was in primary school and we got kept indoors for about an hour after it was over JIC
i'm thinking though i have to get her either before it hits or after cause i wont be able to take bub out to go get her.. but if its after.. how long will i have to leave her there til its gone! ?
Well I don't know where you are but its already 'started' here. I think they said it wont be near as bad though, just dusty, not 'stormy'. If in doubt, you might as well get her now.
We are keeping ours inside, medical advice says it's best not to let children under 5 play outside in this weather. There is a fine covering of dust over everything so it would easily be inhaled.
It's awful in the city - I would imagine it's too late by now. I am sure day care will keep them inside - I just hope my ILs do the same with DS1 today!
i decided to keep her there cause they have air con so they will be inside but not boiling hot like she would be here. now that it is a lot more hazy though i am starting to regret my decision!!! i hope it goes by 3:30/4! do you think it will?
Well it hit here overnight without a warning & we had all our windows open. Woke up at about 5.30am & couldn't breath. Now the house stinks, I'm worried it will flare up DS asthma & I have to dust everything grrrrr.
WE didn't turn our aircon on as it would just suck the dust inside more - or that's what we thought anyway - it's evaporative and thought that would just form a mud issue on the roof.
