Child Care Benefit - Waiting time?

I called Family Assistance Office a few weeks ago and they told me that our application for CCB has been completed on their end and they are waiting for information from the childcare centre. She said this could take up to 3 weeks but it has been longer than that. How long should I wait before I chase this up and should I be chasing this up with the childcare centre next?

is it a lump sum claim at the end of the financial year?
if so, it can take a while as they have to refresh everything to go back the whole financial year - give them a call on Monday to follow up if you're concerned

Yes, it will be a lump sum claim. I thought it may take a while but I'm not too concerned, just something on my list to follow up.

bub is good - waitin for her to wake up now so i can move her to bed - and yay she just started to stir! daddy's tummy must be comfy! woot!

with any lump sum claim, it's not seen as "urgent" - as it doesn't have to be processed quickly to start fortnightly payments. given that c'link have processed yours, it would be waiting for info from the child carer to work out exactly what you're entitled to (so it needs the hourly breakdown of hours). if these weren't submitted early in the year, it may take a while to refresh. hopefully it's not too long for you

When do they start to process the next quarter rebate?

they will start processing around three weeks into October (depending on when the weeks end - i think the end of the september "weeks" is this sunday, so three weeks after that) - and it can take several weeks for them to be paid
