    snot/cough but no temp

is it normal for a baby to be sick with a very runny nose (clear) and a cough but not have a temperature? DD1 always had a temp with things like that but DD2 has been snotty and coughy for the last few days but no temp. i am wondering if i should take her to GP or not. if she had the temp i would definately but since there is no temp does it mean it is a mild virus and just have to wait it out?

a clear nose means their is no infection. I would just be waiting it out and see how she goes. Could she be teething?

definately! but the cough makes me think it is a virus! none of the rest of us are sick though so it is a bit wierd!

My girls have had the same thing - did so for a week before either of them got a temp! Then had a temp for a day or so, then fine again.
It's so weird! They are on AB anyway because they have been sick on and off for ages now.
Hope your little one gets better soon! If youre worried go see your dr hun

i have this myself - feeling a bit miserable, runny nose (yukko) and the stuff running down my throat is giving me a tickle that is making me cough to the point of almost being sick - but i don't have any pain as such, definitely no temp or anything. it's a PITA and i am feeling pretty blah with it - but no fever or anything. just hoping DD doesn't catch it
