My nearly 4 month old has started waking every 3-4 hours
My baby started sleeping from 7pm-1am then through till morning at 4 weeks, but hasn't done that for about a month now and over the last week or so she has been waking every 3-4 hours (she is being BF every 2.5-3 hours in the day). Any suggestions??
I know it's normal that she still wakes for a feed at this age, even this often. But why WAS she just waking the once at 1am and now she's back to 3-4houly????
And if it's a growth spurt, I thought these only lasted a couple of days (I don't know where, but I read that somewhere).
Also, she has about 4 sleeps a day of about 50-60 mins, with her last one being around 3 or 4pm. She goes to sleep really easy at night at also her first sleep in the morning, but we often need a bit of a pat and a few tears for her other day sleeps. She is only awake for about 10 mins in her night feeds, so they are not a problem once I am up ... I just would much rather get up once instead of 3 times! Selfish me.

It's tiring hun, isn't it! Trish's thread should give you the information you are looking for. Unfortunately there is a lot of mis-information around, and it's just not true that growth spurts have a time limit. Sometimes they might only last for a couple of days, but they can last for weeks. Babies do a lot of growing and developing a short space of time, so it makes sense that they need lots of milk to fuel it.
Hi hun, just wanted send you a I remember how very frustrated I was with this when ds started doing it. There is a fantastic article Barb Glare posted for me when I asked about it... I'll try and find it for you.
Hopefully I won't struggle with it as much now that I know it is perfectly normal and I don't need to worry about changing anything. It's always easier when you know there's nothing you have to do but see it through.
