Question Do you think you can stop a premonition happening?

Eight years ago I was driving along to work & suddenly had this vision of being hit from behind by a P-Plater, I looked around & didn't see anyoen with P plates anywhere so thought nothing of it. Less than ten minutes later I had quite a bad accident where I was hit from behind. The interesting thing was it was the same car that had been behind me all along and it turned out he had P plates on the back but not the front. So I think I saw it happen before it actually did.....

I had the exact same feeling on Saturday a week ago when I was driving home from work. I was going to be hit on the left hand side & pushed into the wall on my right (there are concrete barriers where I drive as there's roadworks happening). So immediately i changed into the left lane to be away from the wall. Nothing happened.

So I was wondering, do you think it's possible to prevent a premonition from happening? Though if you do, does it mean that really it wasn't a premonition, just a thought about something that might happen? Oooor could I have seen something that wasn't going to happen that day, instead a day at a later time?

Just thoughts I've been having & I wondered what others think....

That would have been really scary hun

I believe nothing is set in stone and you can always change your course! By changing lanes you prevented the vision from happening!

    so glad your ok xo

Im a bit of a Butterfly Effect person...
I believe you can change a premonition - and that if you do it is still a premonition ...but that the change of course will bring with it its own ripples.
Of course, changing that one thing may lead you to somewhere also with a negative outcome, but it wont be what you saw.

Yes, I do believe it's possible to change it...like you I have had premonitions that came true (also involving a car accident) and so I always pay attention when they happen and take measures to avoid them. Sometimes it means I have pulled over and waited for 5 mins before continuing, other times I have altered my route (if i had a strong feeling about a particular intersection). As to whether these notions were premonitions or just 'thoughts' - well there's no way of knowing for sure.

The interesting thing about the car accident that *did* happen was throughout the whole episode I had this compelling feeling that it was a karmic event of some sort - there was sometime soooo familiar about the other driver, and the name of the car's owner. So much so that instead of calling it 'the accident' I started calling it "a karmic intersection" instead.

I've had several premonitions that came true as well and I definitely think they could have been avoided. My three biggest ones:

My first one was a car accident too. My husband pulled into a parking spot close to an intersection and I saw a car running a light and smashing into us. I begged him not to park there but he said I was being silly and e was just going to run into this store for 2 minutes. I waited in the car with this feeling of dread and sure enough a few minutes later I heard squealing tires and a car slammed into me. if DH had listened to me my car would have not been in the accident (which ruined 4 other cars besides mine)

My second was a premonition about my friend's dog killing one of my guinea pigs. Her dog was locked in a kennel in the bedroom and my Guinea Pig was in a cage in the living room, but i still saw it happen in my head. My friend reassured me they would both be fine and we went to a fitness class. We returned home and her dog had broken it's crate and my premonition had come true. It could have been prevented had I taken the pig with me instead of leaving it at her house.

My third premonition was about my ****atiel flying out an open window while I was cleaning. I had the windows open for cleaning one day so I put my ****atiel in his cage where he would be safe. Sadly the cage didn't lock properly and he got out, and something spooked him and he was gone out the window. If I had listened to my warning I would have closed the windows and he would still be with me.

I've had lots more premonitions since then but now I make sure I listen to them (and so does my husband) and luckily none of them ever end up happening anymore (but I know they would if I ignored them).

yes you can stop premonitions from happening - they are just warnings from the universe that something may happen if you keep on this particular course of action.

Will come back and post more tonight - about to walk out door to work
