    Colonic Irrigation

Has anyone had it? I am booked in to get it this week and was wondering if anyone could recommend it or think it isn't worth it.

    TIA

    Just an update everyone....

I had my first colonic irrigation on Thursday with another one to follow next week.
It was unusual to say the least, and a little nervous about it. But the lady didn't stay there much, basically I had total control of it, she just popped in now and then.

The first day I didn't really feel any different, but since then:

    - I wake up feeling refreshed like I have had proper sleep every morning since.

    - Unbelievably, my acne rosacea seems to be getting better every day since. I didn't have it severe, but it was certainly noticable if I didn't cover it with foundation.

    - My lethargy has mostly disappeared! I have worked the last 2 days, usually when I get home, I find it difficult to get of the lounge because I feel so tired. But instead I have much more energy.

    - My mood is consistantly good! Rather than huge highs and lows. the little things aren't getting to me since lol.

    - I walked in with a headache that I have had for over a week, and when I left, I commented that my headache had disappeared in the hour. It hasn't returned. I suffer headaches frequently prior to this.

I would recommend it to anyone. I am finding as the days go by, I am noticing much more benefits.

I am hoping it will last, but seriously, this is something that I am planning to do every 6 months. It was worth it, without a doubt.

Sorry if this is too much information...

Nope didn't hurt at all. You just insert this tiny little tube just bigger than a writing pen, just a fraction in. You do it yourself without anyone there. when it is there, then she came back in. Turned the knob and then the water started to come in.

The only fraction of uncomfort was when you need to push out the water. Was similar to that feeling of when you have diahorrea, but as soon as you pushed it out, the uncomfort went.

Sorry if it was too graphic!

Hahaha, but you have been pregnant and in childbirth though??? I found being pregnant, that after that, that nothing embarrasses me as much, so if you can go through that, this is a breeze.

Don't forget these women do it for a job. They see it every day. it's embarassing for us, but it is totally normal for them.

I've been thinking of getting this after having this bub. I have a sluggish bowl and the thought of a good clean out every now sounds good.

So glad to hear that it has had positive benefits for you.

wow, i am so thankful that you posted this thread! I have suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for as long as I can remember and have always wondered whether a Colonic irrigation would help me, now I am definately planning on getting one at some stage.

Do you have to go back a number of times, or is it just a one off? Do they recommend you get it done every 6 months?
