they don't start processing until three weeks after the end of the quarter (so won't start until 3 weeks after the last week that started in Sept - hope that makes sense) - then they are paid generally in the next month - some child care centres may take a bit longer to get their usage statements in

so looking at begining of nov???

with the new CCR set up it should be smoother shouldnt it. as the forms are lodged weekly now not quarterly, but then i guess it depends on the centre.

oh we sooo need this payment hope its a good one but i doubt it will be to much

there is still a timeframe for them to get everything in, all usage statements need to be reconciled on your file. the payments are not loaded onto the system for those first three weeks - it would be three weeks before they are enabled by FAO. before that, the payments don't exist on the system (i hope that makes sense!)

ETA - they are also paid over a period of time as there are only so many payments that can be sent through the system at a time, so they pay so many in each state each day - if they were all paid on that first day, they system that communicates with the banks would crash and no one would get ANY payments (income support/FTB included)

When I spoke to someone on the phone about something, they said they were being processed on the 19th, so should hit my account around the 21st - so I guess next week it should be starting to go through.

Have you done your tax return? It won't be processed until you have completed that. If you have done it and received your tax return then give them a ring.

Just called Centrelink. The next payment will be paid out between 19th Oct and 4th Nov and you are right Nai. That quarter is included in your assessment. That explains why I didn't get any as I owed them money.

We have to re -enroll on the 19th October at our daycare centre, so it makes sence that that is when a quarter finishes it comes before we head away again

So if the 2008/2009 tax return hasn't been done, they withold it?

they only withold the june quarter if you haven't done your tax return

your CCR is an annual entitlement - based on your ccb entitlement and out of pocket costs

if you have estimated your income correctly, your ccb would have been paid correctly - but if you under or overestimated your income, you would either be paying some ccb back (and getting MORE CCR) or you would be entitled to MORE CCB, so have less out of pockets, and less CCR entitlement. it's all "worked out in the wash" in that last payment for the year

if you have overestimated your income, you'll get more CCB and less CCR in that last quarter. you only get 50c in the dollar for out of pockets, so if, for instance, you're entitled to an additional $100 CCB for the year, it means you're entitled to $50 LESS CCR - they don't pay it until that tax return is done to finalise CCB/CCR - if they did, you may end up with a debt raised

i really hope that makes sense!

    Thanks for the dates girls.

BG - I thought CCR wasn't income tested? That it was 50% of your out of pocket expenses providing you met the work/study criteria? Has that changed?

ccr is based on out of pocket expenses. if you qualify for ccb, your out of pocket expenses will be less than if you don't. so no, it's not technically income tested BUT your income for ccb has to be assessed (in case you DO get some) before CCR can be calculated
