Bub squats down to wee - all my nappies leaking - any help?

Hi

well my 14 month old girl has started squatting down when she wees - and every single nappy i have leaks as it makes them gape at the leg. I've lots of different kinds and they all do it.

With my bamboo ones ive tried putting a microfleece booster on top to help soak it up quickly but they still leak.

They don't have leg gape under any other circs and it doesn't matter if they've been on for an hour or a minute it still happens. We are going through so many trousers per day i'm getting annoyed. I used some of my emergency nature babycare sposies and they are better but don't want to go back to sposies full time (only use them occasionally at the mo due to super sore bum through teething).

Any advice would be greatfully received

oooh what a dilemma!!!! I'd probably just try the ones that are the tightest around the leg, and add a cover as well for double protection until she stops doing it.. lol

If she's knowing that a wee is coming and squatting for it maybe you could try introducing a potty - she might use it. Usually they say that a child needs to be 18 months before you can TT but you might have an early learner there.

Might try that Mel although don't have any covers as such - might just use an empty pocket nappy - cheers

Pony - i have brought the potty out and keep sitting her on it when we are outside doing nappy free time just to see but she's so young i've no idea how to let her know it's ok to wee in it! she just gets off and goes away to do it. I guessed she was aware of weeing but i don't want to push it with her being such a young sprog. So cute though when she sits on it DS1 will tell her stores to get her to stay on it a while.

do you have any wide crutch side snappers like a berry plush? i don't think they'd leak when squatting.... otherwise a fitted and a cover maybe?
