Red face Am I having a monster baby!?!

Gawd I hate this stage of pregnancy - more so - I hate the fact that my husband is a friggin giant and my kids have super long legs that they like to poke in my ribs!!!! And with the fact that I have a super short midsection (thanks to my super short parents!) its freakin painful!!!

    Aghhhh!!!

My belly for the last couple of days has been sooooo tight - and you'd think it being my 3rd pregnancy I would be used to it, but I don't remember it getting this tight - seriously it feels like its going to burst or something!!!

Plus - I have trouble uh.. moving my bowels.. because there is soo much pressure down there!! I have to sorta arch my back and sit far back to release some of the pressure so it gets through!!! PMSL

I don't think its engaged or anything - certainly neither of my other two ever did so I wouldn't even recognise it - but gawd the pressure when pooping is incredible!!!!!

Arghhhhhhh.. sorry, just had to vent. Thank gawd its my third and final....

I remember that feeling well... ok.. not the bowel thing... but definitely the belly that just couldn't possibly get any bigger or tighter! and this was before 34 weeks! I was sick & tired of everyone asking if it was twins.. and saying that there's no way I would go full term... And it annoyed me that they were right.. she came at 34 weeks.. and yes, was on her way to being a monster baby LOL. 3.5kg she was... 6 more weeks in utero doesn't bear thinking about LOL... I think my body knew to evict her already! hahah.

It's funny how I 'think' that I loooooove being pregnant, but if I think about the details of the pg's.. gosh... not so sure! Determined to enjoy my 3rd & final pg when it happens tho haha. Try to enjoy the remainder of yours

Liz - I'd probably enjoy it more if I was sleeping more and my pelvis wasn't killing me Just getting too old for this stuff I think.

I carried all 4 of mine in a slightly different position each time so it always got really really tight by this stage - and I have all the stretchies to prove it *sigh*. So I know the feeling only too well

Well we know it's happened at least 3 times now

I can recall with Emily that feeling of tightness. For me it started at 34 weeks, and I thought for sure she would be premmie as my belly was as hard as a rock. But unfortunately she wasn't early. Won't be too much longer.

awww Mel I feel your pain!!!
I hate it even more when its 2 am you can hardly keep your eyes open and yet you feel like you need to do the biggest turd ever so you sit and wait, and wait, shift positions, wait some more, rub your belly, start shaking coz your so damn cold then finally give up!!!

I reckon bubs loves her bum being tapped coz when she moves into a position and it feels like she is way up under the ribs and kinda out to one side. So I rub my tum an dlightly pat it she leans out further into my tapping hand :shakeshead:

You know - nobody ever tells you about this stuff do they - well except for the girls in here but IRL noone ever mentions the last few months and all the "little" joys associated with it.

ohhhh try some boiled water (hot) with a squeeze of lemon. I find it helps to soften the stools and rocking a little bit forwards and back and sometimes side to side, on the loo, can help to shift bub and hopefully allow the passage to empty out.

lol then you go back to bed and need to go again.....I know what you mean with the leaning back thing it feels very primitive, leaning back to do a poo like a cavewoman Hopefully its not too long for you to wait.
