DS is about to move in to larges and up until now we have been using IB pretty much fulltime. I am happy with these and will still probably make them the bulk of my stash, but am just interested in trying some new ones!
The problem I have with Jett is that he has his fathers body shape which means he has a HUUUUGE belly that sticks way out in front! so if the rise is too high it slips down below his belly and we end up with massive leg gape. He also doesn't have the chunkiest of thighs which makes it even harder again! I tried him in a large WC nappy the other day and there is no chance of getting that to work! Not unless he loses the belly!
So I was hoping that some of you lovely nappy queens can suggest some nappies for us to try? I'm not a huge fan of OSFA (they never seem to fit quite right IYKWIM), and nor will we use fitted and cover (they are just too bulky and good luck on trying to convince DH to use them!!). Pockets are ok, but AIO/AI2 are DH's favourite.

i notice you use itti bitti heaps already, so you've already seen how a low rise, narrow crotched nappy sits on him. with one row of front snaps.
have you tried any other DIFFERENT CLOSRUES on him?
e.g two rows of tummy snaps like Fluffy bubs?
(their size large i think starts at 8kg)
e.g side snaps like swaddlebees pockets?
(their size large is 10 - 17kg)
many OSFA nappies are pretty darn wide in the crotch, but ittis are narrow crotch (and sized), so sounds like that's what he suits.
haven't seen your bub, but the buddha belly seems to be pretty common with little ones e.g nappy sitting much higher at the back than it does at the front.
i might have something for you to trial on him, just PM me for details. Do you have any pocket stuffers, trifolds etc?
Yeah - the wide crotches just don't seem to work on him at all. I think that is one of the reasons OSFA just don't get used in our house!!
I haven't really tried other closures on a fitted nappy, have used applix on the OSFA nappies other than that all the other trials were done when he was NB and of course his shape has changed dramatically since then!
I have an Ecobubs nappy which has the side snap, which is ok, but again I think the rise might be just a smidge too much for him. When he sits down he gets serious leg gape and of course that = leaks!! hehe
Thanks for the suggestions Arimeh - I actually do have 4 bundles of buns coming soon...but I'll check out the others too!
ETA: Getting hold of those nappies could be a bit hard Arimeh - Dragonfly Magik is closed until further notice, Widdlewuns had no stock, Bundles of Buns is doing customs at the moment and Genesa Forge I have to admit I have found the site a little hard to navigate....
The premade nappies or something on the GF site babe - they are usually all listed there.
You can email the makers directly and ask about custom times, I know Christie (widdlewuns) is really accommodating, as is Kristy (BoB's) and if you join up to another forum, its quite easy to get a hold of DM's. I just got two the other week.
