Really stained, gross high chair straps

How can I properly clean my stained (and very gross) high chair straps? The stain seems like it's right in the strap rather than sitting on top. Any ideas, suggestions?

    TIA

We put the whole highchair in the shower when it gets bad.

On our highchair, the straps are attached with a screw, so you can unscrew the straps, soak em in napisan & chuck them in the washing machine, whatever. Just remember how they're attached cos it's an exercise in working it out otherwise LOL.

Thank you - both good ideas!

We have a Steelcraft Messina and I take the whole chair pad off, including the straps, and chuck the whole thing in the machine on a gentle cycle, comes up clean as a whistle.

Previously I used to soak the straps in Napisan before I decided to chuck the whole thing in the machine.

Soooo much easier and more effective than hand scrubbing.

Great tips ladies. My high chair is going to need a massive clean before DS needs it.

if its badly stained get some mould cleaner onto it and let it sit for an hour or 2 before rinsing it off

I took mine out on the weekend and soaked them in napisan over night. Good as new!
