does anyone know how much Montessori "pre kinder" program would cost?

I know it isn't technically called prekinder at Montessori, but I was interested in sending DS there next year. I have jsut been advised by the council that he missed out on a place for pre kinder. I am still unsure why as they won't answer my calls. (he is a Sept bub, so one of the older children and my form was in very early *sigh* - a whole other issue)

Anyway back on topic, cost? And what do people think of the Montessori way of teaching? How does your child like it?

I love the montessori way of teaching. DS went to care there when he was around 2, and we weren't impressed, BUT, they didn't really have the facilities for caring for a child that wasn't yet toilet trained and things like that - they're not a child care facility so to speak.

So I wouldn't hesitate to put him in after he was around 3 or 4 years of age. I know my friends paid $50 a week for their little boy for him to go when he was around 4? And we just paid normal child care rates for DS when he was there.

Megan is the prep to year 6 after school care only?? That seems steep if it is.

No, it's full time Mon-Fri 8.30-3.30. Can't see anything on their website about after school care.
I had looked into it as this particular school is just around the corner from me and I think it's tiny so they probably don't offer after school care.
