    Exclamation Some tax questions

At risk of sounding really dumb.....

I am new to this whole tax thing with having a child and am a bit confused with payments and stuff in the income section.

I am doing etax online and in the income section it is asking me about partnered parenting payments...

I dont recall getting a statement as to how much I got in total this financial year and I was under the impression that it wasnt a taxable income anyway. (might be wrong) So if I am supposed to enter something there, I have no idea what to put.

If anyone has etax it is number 5 in the income section I am confused about.

We received family tax benefit B, the baby bonus and some rent assistance.

    Any help appreciated

FTB payments is not a taxable income, Parenting Payment is. If you don't receive parenting payment and only receive FTB payments, then you do not have to declare that on your tax return.

    :yeahthat:

We only got FTB which is not taxed. You could ring family assistance if your not sure and ask them??
