Long Boho/Hippy skirts?? not sure what else they are called...
I can't find these anywhere with an elastic waistband!!! It can't be that hard SURELY!!!
and the ones I do find all have those ugly prints all over them!
Can ANYONE tell me where I might find one in a PLAIN colour with an elastic waistband?? I went to Tree of Life and brought one....i thought it was elastic with the tie also, but no....it's only the tie and I can't get it on. So now I have to take it back and can only exhange it for something else
They are the most comfortable thing to wear while pregnant and I can't find one anywhere!
I walked through Kmart this morning and found a 'tiered' boho skirt, plain colours: white, black, brown etc. I have a few and LIVED IN THEM when I was pregnant, so comfy. Great to cover my little pregnancy/cs sag now too
oh oh oh!!!
I have to go there and have a look!
I saw them at Target today but i refuse to pay $60 for it!!! I used to shop there heaps but am finding all their stuff is becoming very expensive.
Target have the short versions, plain colours...brown, white etc. Go to just above knee with elastic band, I love them. I have a white, brown & pink one.....living in them!
where abouts do you live? we have a shop called Bazaar here in WA its like a 'hippie' shop with candles and stuff, they sell tonnes of those hippy skirts, there about $40, maybe they have something like that near you.....also maybe the weekend markets? HTH
I was going to say Tree of Life (totally my favourite ever store), but you already went there...can you add elastic yourself? Or have a friend with a sewing machine to do it for you (or seek out a handy BBer) - adding elastic isn't too tricky.
I got my favourite pregnancy ones from Target (they could be dresses or skirts), and Myer (the elastic was about 30cm of shirred elastic, so there was no digging at all, brilliant). Just keep an eye out, and get others to keep an eye out. xo
Have you found maxi dresses work or is the top half of those a problem?
I bought 3 last week. A black one and a white one with a high stretchy interlock waistband that can be folded down or left up to go over a preggy belly, and a violet one that is stretchy around the back waist (they also had them in black and dark blue).
So, so comfy and great in the heat. Am considering going back to get a couple more as I think I will be living in them until Number 3 arrives and that is a good 5 months away.
They also have shirts that are loose around the middle and would go nicely over a preggy belly until towards the very end when you need a little extra length.
I have lots of these types of skirts - I love them.. I didn't wear them during pregnancy as I am only short/small and I felt I looked a bit frumpy. But I wear long flowy skirts a lot.
There are a few brands I love. I love Metalicus for plain stretchy ones. Also Wyse make some nice ones.
The brand I really like is: "Boom Shankar". It's got lots of that stuff. There is also a shop called "Piece of Me" - they sell their own brand of these skirts too. They are between $50-$80.
