    Job advertising

Is there a legal time frame that a certain job needs to be advertised for before the position is filled?

    Hope that makes sense.

Oh and would you call to see if you got the job 2 weeks after you had the interview? or just wait for them to contact you?
Does it seem too pushy or eager if you called???

I call. I always call. Even if you didn't get the job, then you can get feedback from the interview, which is always helpful.

As for time limits, no not as far as I am aware. I think there may be some places where a job must be advertised internally and publically for a certain period of time before they can hire internally, like a government position or something...

But generally you can hire the first person you see if you want to
