I went to visit a friend and her bub yesterday and DD had a great time playing but I just found out today that now the other bub is sick with the flu! No ones fault or anything coz we didn't know. But is DD very likely to get it?? Probably She was just sick a couple of weeks ago and I hate it when she's sick of course. So what can I do now to try and prevent it if anything, or make it not as bad at least??
Kinda hoping if she does get sick I get it too so I can give her some antibodies through BM, lol. She's only had the flu once and it was very mild and I think that's coz I had it too.
If you are still BF her, then keep that up. The dr also told me to take vit c as that would go through to her as well and help out. And make sure she gets lots of sleep for the next few days. If she does get it her body will need the extra resourses to fight it off.
The only thing I can think of that I try to do with DD if I think she's 'getting' sick is to keep her warm inside if it's cold out, sleep and keep b/feeding as ryatha said, and maybe if it's not too cold where you are get her out into some sunshine for a few mins when you can....I think sunshine always helps to feel like you're 'drying' up the cold, I always take DD into the sun when I can. Dunno if that helps but good luck
