Wow! She must have strong little fingers!
None of mine have ever managed that, so I have no advise at all. Sorry!
So dd has figured out how to undo her car seat belt. Saturday we drove from Brisbane back home to the Sunshine Coast, and we stopped at Caboolture to let her have a run around cause she was so restless (gone are the days where she slept in the car *sigh* ) anyway, put her back in the car did her up. Got home and when dp went to get her out she'd undone her belt, we have no idea at what point she undid it, she was still extrememly restless and cranky when she got back in the car and so it was spent trying to sing to her and wave her toys in her face and try and get her to play with them, so I didn't even notice. She might of just undone it when we got in the driveway, who knowsSo I am wondering, any of you had this problem and how did you fix it? Is there something you can buy that goes over the button so she can't press it? Thanks xo

I second that Bjrose....Ds has never attempted to do it......coould you make a little cover for it maybe?
Your talking about the 5 point harness one arent you? hope you can work something out that is really scaryClever poppit you have there!
Yeah! It's only been iin recent days shes' started it. She's learnt how to climb up into her high chair and put her buckle on and take it off so I think she thinks it's ok to do it in the car too kwimYour talking about the 5 point harness one arent you?
There is something you can buy, but bugger me if I can remember what its called......
Its a little plastic box thing that does up over the whole buckle bit. You have to take it off to get to the buckle.
Thinking, thinking....... I'm sure it was online too......
Can you turn the buckle piece so that it faces towards your DD. It may be just too hard for her to reach inside there to push the button.
Hmm tough one would she understand if you told her not to touch it????
I dont know hun but good luck x
Oh crap, sorry!!! This is for the actual seat buckle......![]()
Pb I thought of that one too...maybe there is a market for something to go over the 5 point harness buckle???
Yeah she understands she's not spose to lol but when she's in one of those restless moods it seems her ears are painted on![]()
Oh bugger :-\ If the button is quite easy to get off (which I assumed it'd have to be because I struggle to get Jazzy's off sometimes, its quite tough to press all the way in) is there a way to possibley search out different car seats and see if theres one with a really resistant buckle? Even though you'd have to buy a whole new car seat, it'd be worth it if it means she can't unbuckle herself?
Oh, and I don't think you could get something to go over the top of it, wouldn't that be a safety concern?
I'd be looking into a different car seat as well. That doesn't seem to be working correctly if a toddler can undo it. It's designed so that kids cannot unbuckle themselves. Are you sure it was securely buckled in the first place?
Yes It was securely buckled we double check it everytime cause it's something I just don't want to mess about with.
Im thinking new child seat too.
